Kachemak Bay Activities

There are many vacation opportunities in the Homer area!
Renting a car is advised.

In Homer, fish for halibut and salmon by charter boat in outer Kachemak Bay. Shop for one-of-a-kind local arts and crafts at Ptarmigan Arts and Bunnell Street Gallery. Visit the nationally acclaimed Pratt Museum for an overview of Kenai Peninsula natural history, the Exxon Valdez oil spill exhibition, and cliff-nesting seabirds and brown bears on the museum's unique visitor-controlled live remote video cameras. Sample homemade candy at Alaska Wild Berry Products. Beachcomb and tidepool along Bishop's Beach or on the Homer Spit. Also in the area are trout and salmon fishing on the world-class Anchor and Kenai Rivers.
